Hi again, dear tea businesspeople. Lindsey here.
In my last post, I promised to share more of what we do soon. And today, I'll make good on that promise (at least a little, anyway).
Right now, there are people ahead of you in line for our services, and I've promised them their spots, so I can't show you much. But there are two kinds of things that I can share before our big launch on January 1st. And they are:
- what's sold out already
- and what's not available to anyone (even our most loyal customers) yet.
Let's start with the former.
What's sold out already
As I described in my last post, I've worked as a tea copywriter for years now. I didn't go into much detail about my work and clients last time, so I'll tell you a little more now.
Over the years, I've ghostwritten a LOT of copy for tea businesses. Web copy. Menu copy. Social media copy. Press releases. Email campaigns. Blog posts. Investor presentations. Speeches for client events. A lecture for a dietitians' conference. Staff training manuals. Packaging copy. Signage. Ads, both digital and physical. A 'magalog' (half magazine, half catalogue). Actual magazines. Tea subscription inserts. Thank-you notes. But most of all, tea descriptions. I've cupped more than 10,000 teas for clients, and I have the off-white teeth to prove it.
(See what I did there? That's good copywriting in action. No one wants to hear about anyone's yellow teeth. But my teeth turned off-white from thousands of tea cuppings, plus thousands more non-cupping cuppas? How eccentric, how charming, how wabi sabi.)
I've written copy for clients in San Francisco and Berkeley, and Los Angeles and Orange County. In New York City and upstate New York. In Seattle and Boston, and in North Carolina and Texas. In Vancouver and rural Canada. In the U.K. and Taiwan and Japan. All over, really. And it seems that they all have one thing in common—they want great copy written by someone who knows about tea. Lucky me, that's just what I do!
If you're thinking, 'Wow, sign me up!' then take a deep breath and prepare for some bad news. We are all booked for now. Yeah, I know. It sucks (for you, but not for our extant clients who got first dibs! they are happy as tea-brined clams right now).
But here's the good news—we made a waiting list. After you sign up, we'll keep you posted about our availability as we work our way through the mountain of tea we have yet to cup. (I know, woe is me, right? Who am I kidding?! I love this!)
You can sign up here. And if you scroll down a bit on the page, you'll see that we DO still have one copywriting service available...
What's not available to anyone yet
This is more of a level playing field! Even if you're new to us, you get just the same treatment as our oldest, most loyal clients.
We have two types of upcoming offers to tip you off to today. The first is our online tea business courses. They include business fundamentals for tea entrepreneurs, tea training for food professionals and more. You can sign up for updates on any and all of them. We promise to keep EVERYONE who signs up posted about them!
And the second upcoming offer is our tea business products. We don't mean those ubiquitous, opaque tea packages with the zip tops, or Bunn water heaters, or anything like that. Nothing so drab 'round here! We mean things you can use to level up on your tea business. We mean an ebook on cutting out the middleman and sourcing tea directly from Darjeeling. We mean royalty-free tea photos from around the world that you can license to give your tea business a look that doesn't mumble 'I'm from Shutterstock' while looking down at its shoes. And the like. You can also sign up for updates on these, so if you're interested, be sure to get on the list!
What's on the way
Lest I get all 'No soup for you!' about our tea services, lemme give you a hint and some hope.
You can get a sense of what's in store from the cupping and copywriting packages and from a look at our team. You're clever—use your imagination, and stay posted. (And be sure to sign up for MavenMail below if you haven't done it already!)
And you can speed the upcoming offers up by signing up for the ones you want. We're prioritizing them based on your feedback, so cast your vote, so to speak, with you email addy and we'll get cracking on it.
We'll post more soon, and you'll get full access to our site on January 1st. In the meantime, I wish you all the best in your tea business!
